The Silver Fox posted a meme of books most often listed as being unread.  The purpose of the exercise is to note which you have read (bold), read more than once (asterisk), did not finish (italics) and hated (struck through).  I’m a little ashamed about the ones I’ve read repeatedly (Dune) as opposed to trying something new (Vanity Fair).  Also, I wish there was a category for books in which “hate” was too strong a word. For example, I see no problem in reading Ayn Rand but feel extreme distaste for the Rand zealot; they’re inflexible and weird.  By the same token, I will never trust a man that is way into Kundera; they’re often misogynists.  I have noted these books with a %.  Those % books or authors should not be taken too seriously.  Also, there have been plenty of BBC or old movies out there that have done some books justice.  Accordingly, I have not read them.  Should I note them too?  Hm.  Let’s give them a #.
